The nonprofit Fix West Texas recently provided information related to its services providing end-of-life euthanasia. The cost of the services is $125 or what you can afford to pay of that amount.
The nonprofit says that the pet is fully sedated so the pet can peacefully go to sleep before the euthanasia. Families can stay with the pets the entire time during the service.
Fix West Texas says that after the end-of-life service is performed, participants can choose to take the pet’s body, surrender it for disposal or select a local crematorium for pick-up. The nonprofit also said that Pets at Peace and KMS Pet Services regularly cremate pets for Fix West Texas. Pets at Peace services range from about $150-$600.
KMS Pet Service has a flat fee of $200 and has a special pay-what-you-can-afford option for Fix West Texas clients which will cover a portion of the $200 flat fee that some families can not afford.
