During 2020, we performed 3,384 spay and neuter procedures at our Fix West Texas Clinics. These procedures have directly prevented over 20,800 unwanted births in our community.
We also provided 8464 vaccinations through our Mobile MASH Clinics and our Drive-Thru Vaccination Clinics. These vaccinations have directly contributed to the overall health of our local pet population.
In addition, we provided over $32,000 worth of free services and 40 dog houses to our community through our Pets in Need Program.
Last, we were able to divert to our clinic about 75 outdoor cats who were trapped and headed for euthanasia at our local shelter. We then provided a free spay/neuter, vaccinations, ear tip and rehomed these cats to indoor homes or shops/barns, based on their individual needs. We call this our Barn Cat Program, although about 30% of the cats end up as indoor/outdoor cats with families and 15% end up as indoor only cats.
We feel we are quickly becoming the go-to resource for low-cost pet wellness services. Our community not only needs us, but supports us and is happy we are here to meet their needs. We feel when we help a pet through our clinics, we are establishing a new standard of care for all future pets that the pet owner will ever have.
We have learned first hand pet owners love their pets and we believe when given the opportunity, pet owners want the best for their animals. We are committed to continuing to give pet owners the opportunity.
