The rescued puppies are part of a larger adoption event that features cats and dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, many of which were pulled from the Midland Animal Shelter to prevent overcrowding and euthanasia.

All pets have been fully vetted and are ready to be adopted for just $25 to $50.
Fix West Texas will be on-site every day from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., giving potential adopters a chance to meet the animals in person, ask questions, and find the right match.
Each adoption includes spay or neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. In addition to being affordable, pet adoption is known to offer long-term benefits for people as well. Studies show that pets help reduce stress, improve mental health, and promote more active lifestyles. Adoption also teaches children important values like empathy, patience, and responsibility.
Heidi Marston, director of Pet Placement Initiatives at PetSmart Charities, says events like this help create real impact in local communities.
“Animal shelters and rescues are doing incredible work to save pets each day, but they can’t do it without the community’s support,” Marston said. “Adopting or fostering a pet can be an incredibly enriching experience. We’re proud to work with partners like Fix West Texas who are committed to making meaningful connections between people and pets.”
